Makers of the Realm Market

Vendor Application

When: Saturday, October 10, 2026 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PM

Where: Strathcona County Museum & Archives

Hear ye, hear ye! Strathcona County Museum & Archives is looking for local makers, artists, artisans, and small businesses to join us for the Makers of the Realm Market, part of Spooky Strathma: Medieval Days.

The market will feature local vendors alongside medieval-themed activities and our special exhibit From Sherwood Forest to Sherwood Park: The Story of Medieval Days

The market will be both indoors and outdoor (rain or shine), with approximately 22-24 vendor spaces available. Indoor space is limited, patio heaters will be placed outside. Further details will be provided to selected vendors.

Submitting an application does not guarantee a vendor space. Applications will be reviewed and vendors selected based on available space, product suitability, and variety of offerings.

Booth Information

The market will be both indoors and outdoor, with 12-14 indoor booth spaces available (6'x6' or 8'x8'), and 10 outdoor tent spaces (10'x10'). Indoor placement is not guaranteed and smaller displays will be prioritized in order to allow for more vendors.

Please note: Tables, chairs, and tents will NOT be provided. Vendors are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, displays, table coverings, signage, and other booth equipment. Tents with side walls are encouraged.

Vendor Requirements

To maintain the character and quality of the Makers of the Realm Market, all vendors must agree to the following:

Independent Business / Artist:

I confirm that I am a legitimate independent business, artist, maker, or artisan and am not representing or selling for a multi-level marketing (MLM), pyramid, or similar recruitment-based business.

Original / Non-Generative AI Product:

I confirm that the products I am selling are my own work, designs, or legitimate business products, and that I do not sell products created using generative AI.

Food & Beverage Vendors:

I understand that if I sell food or beverages, I am responsible for obtaining and maintaining all applicable licences, permits, approvals, and food safety requirements.

Alcohol Vendors:

Vendor Deposit & Commitment

A $50 vendor deposit will be required from selected vendors to confirm their space. The deposit will be fully refunded after the event once the vendor has participated in the market.

Vendor Commitment:

I understand that if selected, I will be expected to attend and remain set up for the duration of the market from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, unless otherwise arranged with the museum.

I understand that submitting this application does not guarantee acceptance and that vendor spaces are limited.
