Strathma is offering Spooky Scavenger Hunts all throughout October! Stop by the museum anytime during our regular hours of operation to enjoy our Alice in Wonderland themed scavenger hunt! This activity is great for all-ages.

Join us for another fun and relaxing Spooky themed Paint & Sip night at Strathma—led by local artist Andrea Krahn. She’ll lead you step-by-step in creating a hauntingly fun Halloween masterpiece with a moon and black bird, perfect for all skill levels.

About Andrea
Andrea Krahn is a local artist who grew up in rural Strathcona County but whose global adventures have shaped her vibrant creativity. Having Lived in the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Central America, Andrea returned to her hometown of Strathcona County, with her husband and daughter after nearly 20 years overseas.
During the 2020 pandemic, Andrea rediscovered her passion for painting. Her joyful, whimsical pieces are filled with bold colours ahd comedic expressions, reflecting her playful outlook on life. Each work radiates a sense of jubilaton, inviting viewers to share in her celebration of beauty and joy.

Fairytale Writing Workshop

Event Details
Step into the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland this October during Spooky Strathma month! Join the Strathma in collaboration with the Writers Foundation of Strathcona County for a two-hour, fairy-tale inspired creative writing workshop.
Facilitated by Mandy Barnett and Lana O’Neill, this workshop will guide participants through fun, imaginative exercises designed to spark storytelling inspired by classic tales. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just beginning your creative journey, you’ll find encouragement, inspiration, and a touch of Wonderland magic.

Celebrate Halloween with a night of eerie questions covering paranormal mysteries and haunting traditions. Costumes encouraged, chills guaranteed!
We invite you to come out on Thursday and enjoy a fun night of laughs, facts, and friendly competition. Your team can be up to 6 people, so bring your friends or come solo!
