Strathma offers free programing for all ages every Saturday. For May the theme is Red Hot Mommas! Visitors will learn about the iconic women volunteer fire fighting troop and explore our buildings history as the first firehall in Sherwood Park.​

Strathma is excited to host a screening of the documentary "Singing Back the Buffalo" in honour of Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous Peoples Day! At this event, Strathma will be accepting monetary donations for Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society.

Strathma is back with our monthly Trivia Night, and the theme this month is Pride, for Pride Month! Test your knowledge of 2SLGBTQIA+ history, iconography, and pop-culture! We invite you to come out on Thursday and enjoy a fun night of laughs, facts, and friendly competition. Your team can be up to 6 people, and you'll compete for a prize generously donated by Browns Socialhouse Salisbury.

Our bimonthly Coffee Speaker Series is back on June 25! Strathma has invited Superintendent Barry LaRocque of Strathcona County RCMP Detachment to be our guest speaker for this event. He will be sharing stories and answering questions. Admission by donation, and there will be coffee, tea, and light refreshments provided.

Celebrate Canadian Multiculturalism Day at Strathma’s Parking Lot Party! Pick up a passport and explore the cultures that make our community special — all right outside the museum. With free admission, enjoy fun activities for all ages, including games, face painting, and opportunities to celebrate and share multicultural pride! Spend your school break at Strathma as a Junior Curator!

We acknowledge the traditional lands and territories of the Indigenous Peoples who have lived on these lands and taken care of them since time immemorial. We respectfully acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 territory, lands which are known as Amiskwaciy, Cree for “The Beaver Hills”. This region has been important for the Néhiyawak, Niitsitapi, Tsuut’ina, Anishinaabe, Nakota Sioux, and later the Métis. Many other tribes, including the Inuit, traveled and harvested on these lands. We acknowledge their collective stewardship. We are all Treaty People living together on these lands and we remain responsible to one another, the land, its resources, and to Treaty 6. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation.
